    Thank you everyone for your kindness and wonderful compliments! You are all so encouraging!!!:D :D :D

    I've decided on 6" black borders with 9-patch HSTs in the corners using the jewel tones adn black. Thank you all for your input, it really helped me!

    I'll post a picture when I'm done.

    WOW! That's awesome! I can't believe you did that so quickly! I bought a book for that a few months ago. I'd like to do mine with deep navy background and scrappy for the rest...hopefully I can get to it after Christmas. :)

    I agree with the black borders with corner stones and then the colored quilting thread. I think this will show case your hard work just wonderful !!

    How does this look? It's a little wonky up on the wall. I think Variegated thread and maybe some vines on the border. I'm not quite sure what to have quilted on the jewels - any ideas? I'm stumped with this one. Thanks for your help! :D
