Default John Deere Sew and Flip Scrap Quilt

Here are some pictures of the John Deere quilt I finished last night. It is shown on a queen size bed. The sew and flip scrappy blocks are quilted individually and then assembled QAYG. Notice the brown border fabric -- it is from a bolt of orange tropical floral fabric by Alfred Sheehan. The brown section that I used with flecks reminds me of a dirt field. I wonder with Mr. Sheehan would think about his fabric used on a John Deere quilt!

The quilt will go into the Bible Camp quilt auction next summer. The location is ND -- farm country certainly, and with a lot of John Deere fans.

I love your quilt. It should raise lots of money. It reminds me of my first quilt that I made for my then 6 year old
grandson. I bought about 1/4 yard of fabric that had little bears posing doing different things (i.e. reading a book under
a tree, tumbling, etc) & I surrounded each block with scraps. But I like the way you set them on point, better than
mine, just straight. But it was my first. QAYG looks great & the pictures are adorable. Brown "dirt" is perfect too.
