It was a math lesson too late in the day... and the stripes complicated the issue. I took the problem right to Main Street here  and got help from Gayle last night. I promised I'd show her how it came out...

    Mark loves it--says it's definitely a one-of-a-kind quilt. :D

I had just laid it out here--now it's ironed and folded ready for the quilters!

    Thanks again, Gayle!

Looks great Karla!!! I'm glad that I could help you out. I have used regular fabrics for my backs except for 1, since I started quilting and have had to get creative to get the fabric to fit the back, You did a wonderful job putting that ll together!!!

sandpat--I'm thinking cross hatch... or simply squares on the diagonal... I'll see what the quilter says. It should be simple.

Cross hatch just has a space between every two lines?

Karla~I LOVE the back!!! The next time I need help with a back I will be sending Gayle a PM! I love pieced backs and this one is great. I'm glad that Mark likes it too. It is a great finishing touch to your wonderful quilt.
