Congrats to your Mom & Dad! What a wonderful gift. Wish my DD sewed.
I have never been able to get her interested, my sister and I have both tried for years but no dice. Mygrandmother and my Mother taught my sister and me both to sew and I tell my daughter that she is breaking the chain of tradition.

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. I really appreciate them. As I said my mom is going to retire in October and I'm trying to get her interested in quilting. She has worked all of her life and really doesn't have any hobbies. So I tell her that she needs to pick up quilting. She lives close by and I already have everything that she needs. I told her that she needs to come here during the day when I'm at work and just make quilts. She really doesn't have the room to set up everything at her house so I said just come here and do it. I hope that she will. She is going to have to do something or she is just going to be really boared all of the time.
