    I hope it works out well for him too. Our manager invented reasons for him to be kept on for the 60 days, instead of being let go right now. There are only 10 people company wide who are on the 60 days active, the other 172 let go. He won't be doing any work but it will give him time to study for an industry certification he needs that will greatly help in getting a job. With that certification I don't think he will have much problem at all.

    I know it's a shock for him. We have been there so long and always planned to retire there.
