Default Just been playing ... "Lucy Boston" blocks

What fun these are to make and a great way to use up left over fabric from quilts I've made. And a way to remember quilts I've made for others. (unfinished one is now done.)

That's a great block but I'm confused, how do you put them together? What am I not getting?

Cute blocks, but if there are "y" seams, their not for me, lol

It looks like it may be stitched using "English paper piecing" like you use when making a "Grandmother's Flower Garden.

I love what you said about a way to remember quilts you've made for others. What a great idea! Better than a photo. :-)

Any tute for hexies will do. There are many on Youtube and I finally settled on Sue Daley's EP Hexie method.
These are hand sewn together just like hexies are. Unless you have strong hands, I don't recommend "pieced" hexies like the single one's center! Should have pressed the seams open - Ouch! I also really liked the link posted by Tapper on this post: http://www.quiltingboard.com/links-r...s-t250279.html
    Thanks all!
