Default Just finished ... DNA? ... post-hole-digger ... baby quilt

I think this arrangement of HST is usually called a DNA quilt, but in my mind, these are post-hole-diggers, like we used to have attached to our farm tractor ! I'm planning to give this to my nephew and his wife as a baby quilt (their first.)

The pastels were from a pack of 5x10 blocks that I got as a Christmas gift. The back is flannel. I had lots of fun quilting this one!

The binding puts on the finishing touch. Sweet quilting.

Love, love, love the quilting! (if I was allowed to shout I would ). It really does a nice job of emphasizing the piecing as well as adding a secondary design and loads of interest.

Post hole digger--you are so right! I love this pattern--made one for a preteen girl and it sure was fun to design. I love the colors and fabrics. It'll "grow with" the baby very well. And your quilting is superb! What a lot of work you put into it--so much fun to see the solid backs of quilts like this.
