Cool Just a little something I whipped up last night....

I've had these strips for quite a while. It was for a quilt I was making and didn't read the instructions when it came to cutting it out. So I decided yesterday I'd play with it a bit.

Laid it out the way I sewed it and then laid it out another way and decided on the first way. Thanks Olebat! Your opinion helped. Decided I"d put a small black border on it but have no idea what I"m going to use for the outer border nor the backing.

Went to Hancock's today but didn't find anything to grab me. When I make crib size quilts I usually have a reason for the fabrics.. football = game, yellow = penalty flag, green = playing field, white = stripes on the field, black = officials on the field, brown with the spots = texture of the ball, other brown = what the ground looks like after the game. I know silly but I do.

Any opinions on the outer border and backing would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking maybe a blue for the outer border. There's a little blue dot on the fabric with the football.

This will be a charity quilt.

    Thanks for looking!!

Not sure i would use a blue with the black, but i can't see the blue in the football fabric either. It may be the perfect color. Be sure and post a pic when you get done wo we can see your choice.

I would go white or green for the border....the backing, well, maybe a green or a brown. Anyway it's a great quilt....show us what you decide...you know how we love pics.

I would say a wider border of green and then brown to bind it in. Backing could be whatever you have unless you want it to be something special.
