Hey don't joke, I also used to watch Dora, and felt really chuffed when I understood it when I first starting learning....now listening to the Spanish news and having sky+ helps as you can rewind and listen over and over and over......lol!!

How do you cut acrylic? Just curious
Its really easy Bev, you just mark it carefully, clamp the main piece down firmly, score it with a 'Stanley' knife (craft knife) until you are about half way through then....you have to be brave and just 'snap' it downwards.

Afterwards you just need to lightly sand the edges to get any snags off!!

Wah lah you have your own templates!!

It would have cost at least £65.00 to buy them individually in the U.K. and god knows how much more here in Spain!!! The piece of acrylic cost 30 euros - approx £23.00 - so a great saving too!!!!
Oh ok. Neat. That was so cool he did that.

that is great idea. My quilting guild has a christmas party every year and we exchange gifts, under $20. the gift I received was 10 different size squares. Mary went to the local glass shop, and had them cut the acrylic squares starting with 4 inch up to 9 1/2 inches. I left the paper backing on one side so I will always know the size. DeeDee had different size rectangles cut for her gift. I love them. Oh, my hubby drilled a hole in them so I can hang them up.

So what does LOL mean? I always use it as "laughing out loud" but I was recently told by a teenager it is "lots of love". As an Italian I thought maybe "Lots of Lasagna". Ha! Ha! I'm confused!

when used by most of us, it is laughing out loud.

What a wonderful dh you have! That is a enviable set! The only other shape you might like is a triangle. I have one that is a 12" on it's longest length, and I use it for all my triangle things. (drawing the diagonal line to set bias square triangles), cutting triagles, all in all it's a nice size to work with, I bought it thinking I would use it for trimming my blocks to the same size, but that doesn't work, I'm glad it is very handy other ways so I didn't waste my money.

Tricia dh can also go the other way d@mn husband, depending on the context, (clearly not the case here!)
