    Default Just Playing Around..ironing mat

I live in a motorhome...hence no space. My big ironing board takes up the entire hall, not to mention makes this unbelievable screech when I try to set it up despite all the oil, vaseline you name it I've tried to keep it quiet! So between projects I decided to make myself an ironing pad. I made it just big enough to fit the area I usually cut on and then decided to practice some FM on it. I was going to make it my ode to feathers, but my DH wanted to get in on designing and so I had to put off trying feathers for a bit. One day.... Anyway, I didn't want the maple leaves (in fall colors) all around the outside, so I left two corners to try other things. The acorns didn't come out very good, but I love the gecko!! :-)

What fun. Not only do you get to do some neat quilt designs, but you end up with an ironing pad.
