I have several more grays--but none of them match this gray at all. I was surprised! But--I like this one well enough to use it throughout.

I used gray before in the wall hanging below and loved it. It really makes the colors pop. I should get more! No, WAIT--no buying for me.

This photo does not show the bright colors.

WOW!-----there's a whole lot of triangles to get those points nice and sharp, it is going to be a spectacular quilt

hum?----hadn't thought much about gray but have to admit it is very effective,

(probably something I need to add to my stash, another reason to shop! )

No--it's a tricky thing to get that row of triangles correct--and you can see I'm not matching up the points perfectly.
They're made by cutting 3 1/8" squares and going from there. I made four rows of the triangle sewed together, then sew them in a diagonal piece. The large triangles are made from 7 5/8" squares.[/quote]

Great quilts - yours and theirs
Your points look perfect to me

Your blocks are looking great. Does that pattern have its own name? It looks like a variation of corn and beans, just more complicated.

i love the grey. it's a very elegant color, even in a scrappy. it brings in a new dimension, imo, and i never understood why more people don't use it. it's a great color. good points, too.
