Wow those are wonderful, but I especially love that 2nd one. The patterns show up so beautifully on the lighter background. Well done!!!

I told my DH that I wanted a quilter's mirror. He cut a couple of peaces of mirror from one we no longer wanted, fastened them together with 2 pieces of duct tape and 'bound' them with narrow strips of the tape. It works like a charm.

Those are so beautiful! Are they as difficult as they look?

    GRAND!
Sometime this year, I will actually get to work on an OBW.
My friend stopped by the Post today from her quilt guild meeting. She is a great one for picking up things no one wants to mess with - - scraps, bits, pieces, blocks that no one will put together.
Today, she picked up an OBW kit that has been kicking around the state for - - it has gone through at least FOUR quilters! (or maybe it has just been going around the county)
ANYWAY! The fabric is flowers, of course - - with a repeat at almost twenty two inches apart. The kit comes with a sage green set of triangles to go on two sides of the hexagon, and a gold from the seventies (though no one will admit to a thing!)
Long story short - - the triangles are five inches tall (bummer!) ... on the other hand, my friend and I will be working on the OBW because (even though I have never done one before <g>) at this point I know more about what is supposed to happen than she does ... I am REALLY excited! Don't mean to steal this thread, and I won't probably say anything more, but I was so excited/am so excited over my upcoming adventure I had to tell someone, and I knew if k3n was anywhere around, she would appreciate my being all atwitter <g> <wave>
