I never even imagined that Kaffe's fabrics could be subdued, as he isn't one of my favorites at all. But you did a wonderful job of toneing them down into a likeable modern quilt. I'm sure it will be loved by the recepient.

You did a fine job managing the brilliance of Kaffe fabrics. The precision of your work, placement of color and the border fabric ties the colors together. Like it of not, it is well done and you are a good problem solver. You had lemons and made a beautiful lemonade.

I am so impressed by this, and not just because it’s gorgeous.
I’m quilting something similar with a walking foot, and there are machine basting threads everywhere to keep the squares from distorting or losing size in the process. It’s taking way too long.
How did you baste it ( if you don’t mind sharing)?
