His fabrics are so bold, and I tend to picture them in modern quilts. You did a beautiful job in using his fabrics in a traditional way. It's wonderful!

I never even imagined that Kaffe's fabrics could be subdued, as he isn't one of my favorites at all. But you did a wonderful job of toneing them down into a likeable modern quilt. I'm sure it will be loved by the recepient.

You did a fine job managing the brilliance of Kaffe fabrics. The precision of your work, placement of color and the border fabric ties the colors together. Like it of not, it is well done and you are a good problem solver. You had lemons and made a beautiful lemonade.

It's beautiful! The colors just suck you in! Love the border too. It really adds to the quilt.

Everything is so right about this beautiful quilt, from the taming of the Kaffe glare to the perfect border, such a good job!

I am so impressed by this, and not just because it’s gorgeous.

I’m quilting something similar with a walking foot, and there are machine basting threads everywhere to keep the squares from distorting or losing size in the process. It’s taking way too long.

How did you baste it ( if you don’t mind sharing)?

    hugs,
    charlotte

The quilt has not been sandwiched yet, but I "always" spray baste on a large table, then baste by machine the outside 1/4" to stabilize the edges. So, I don't baste by hand or use any pins.
