My dad owned the Mills Texaco til I was 17 then he closed up and went to work elsewhere. I grew up in the gas station and my husband and I ran a service station and a truck stop for two years when we were first married!
I spent all my time when I wasn't home at the station with dad. When I was sick I had a cot in the back of the station.
The guys that worked for him wouldn't let anyone cuss around me! I thought it was funny. But they played tricks on me too like lifting the back of the car up in the air when I was waiting on my mom at the station!
