My daughter has claimed this quilt. She said it's not one she'd put on a couch for everyone to use, and she still wants another ragged flannel, and she has enough quilts, but yes she likes it a lot. That's all I need to know. I'll keep it safe until she's ready for it.

So far... five more blocks to go. This is not the final lay-out--I need to turn and move some yet. I'm waiting to hear from my girl if she'd like the last five blocks to expand the green or continue with the blue. I thought that woods fabric made a neat border for at least two sides--for that's exactly what I see when kayaking on two of the lakes we frequent, but maybe a narrow green, then wider bluish border would be better. Again, Rachel can decide. (Just got an email from her--she wants the greens expanded and has no opinion/idea on the borders. She says it looks real! :D )

That's coming along lovely. I'd like to see the greens expanded even if she doesn't! :D

I love how you "play" with color and it comes out gorgeous! I am not brave enough for that. Maybe my stash is not big enough! YEAH! That's the problem!

    It is turning out beautifully!

It seems like the kind of quilt you would cuddle up with on a cold evening in a cabin by the water. It really does fit the name:)

Karla this is looking beautiful. Can I put forward an idea - how about doing adjacent green borders and putting all the green that side, graduating diagonally into the blues with the opposite borders in blue? Just an idea - whatever you come up with will be stunning, as always! :D
