    Default Kay's Poppies

Kay's poppy quilt is soooo very pretty. I really wish these pictures showed it better as it is truly a beauty of a quilt. Love the large poppies!! Kay left it with me to be quilted "however I wanted" and I certainly did not know how to quilt it until it was loaded on my frame. Then I just followed the piecing. I used black Hobbs 80/20 batting, red thread to outline the poppies, black thread on the black fabric, green thread on the green fabric. On the face of the quilt the poppies really stand out but the picture does not show it. Quilted on my Gammill without computer or stitch regulator.

Wow, Those poppies really"POP". Like the layout, the in-between fabric gives your eyes a spot to rest on.

The pattern and colors chosen sure do enhance the beauty of the fabric. Qulting is so pretty as well.
