    Default Kindergarten Graduation

My daughter, Bridget, graduated from Kindergarten today. As I feel I am her teacher, Amanda Birdsong's, biggest fan, I made a mini-quilt with an Oriental fan out of some material I have left over from a purse I made a few years back, trimmed the fan in lace to add a special touch. Bridget will get the honor of presenting it to her teacher tomorrow. I hope she likes it as much as I loved making it for her.

As there are 4 excellent Kindergarten teachers at the school, I decided to make each on an "apple". I just enlarged the pincushion idea and placed fiberfill and rice inside. They make such an impact on each childs' life, I wanted them all to know how special they are.

Thanks for looking. I love viewiing and being inspired by your work!

The teachers will be touched that you thought of them. My mother was a second grade teacher for years and she kept and remembered all of the children's gifts to her.
    your daughter is beautiful.

What a sweet looking daughter! Your kindness in remembering all the teachers will be appreciated, but especially the fan! What a nifty idea!

Sweet! Before you know it she will be graduating from High School....the time flies so quickly. I am sure the teachers will appreciate your gifts.....I think teaching these days can be pretty hard going.

Thank you. I cannot imagine how difficult it is to be a teacher. I get frustrated with my one, Ms. Birdsong had 21 kids to deal with every day. As did the other 3 teachers (two are bi-lingual). I think teachers are amazing people! I think Bridget is a cutey, but some say I am supposed to think so.

What a beautiful gift! I am sure her teacher will love it. We had graduation last week, and, as a kindergarten teacher, I can tell you that for the first week of break all I want to do is lay on the couch! Oh, and sew!

Ypur apples are really cute. My daughter is a kindergarten teacher and I know she appreciates the gifts from her students, she is always touched that the parents of her students appreciate her work with their kids
