Our local quilt shop charges $70.00 for the class and $20.00 an hour rental on the machine. Think I'll come to N.Y. Do you have a spare room or I can just curl up on all that fabric in your sewing room ! lol Seriously, your quilt is stunning and the border is to die for... rethinking my grandsons Christmas quilt border... Thanks for sharing and let us see the finished product.

Gwyn, I have tons of cat quilt patterns, in books and a couple of stand alone envelope ones. I'd say about 75 to 80% of my quilts either have a cat fabric in them or the piecing is the shape of a cat. At one point I was going to start a little cottage business selling at craft fairs and the name of the biz was "feline fabrications". I realized local craft fairs don't get the attendees to want to shell out $100 for a wall hanging and it seemed painted objects sold better then quilts. The quilts were a great draw to my booth but the painted things and smalls were what really sold. I did my best at a cat show but the booth was really expensive and I won't pay the $$ required for a juried craft show.
Anywho, if you ever want some suggestions for cat patterns PM me.

Ooooohh FF, I love that one! I definitely want to add that one to my Bucket List. May I ask where you got the pattern for the border?

    Thanks Gaigai,

The pattern for the border was included with the quilt in the book 101 Fabulous Rotary Cut Quilts by Judy Hopkins and Nancy Martin. Basically it is two strip sets (one light, one dark with the same color on one end) cut at opposing 45 degree angles and then sewn together into chevrons. Once all sewn, you lop off the pointy ends so you have the pieced border strip unit. I will try to get a close up pic of the border posted and try my hand at putting together a tutorial for it.
