    If you deign your log cabin squares by 4 squares making a large square, it would take away from the 'arrow' appearance that is going on in it.
    ex: have all light, or all dark, corners of the 4 squares meet at their corners to form a large square.
    Try it...it will give a entirely different look. :)

    I'm very impressed with the blocks. Nice job. I like version #1 the best. But I think it might look even better with some more of the "rose" color. It appears to be a burgundy in the photos. Perhaps in the form of a border or sashing. Not around each block, but maybe around each group of 4 blocks? And not too wide, maybe only an inch.

    Barb, you may not be impressed, but I am! All are gorgeous.
    My favorite is #3 (first one shown with extra roses in center's corners).
    Funds from it's raffle should help Huntington's research find the cure!

    You are being way too critical. It looks great any way. I'd be proud if I had made that quilt. What's wrong with roses. Love it.
