Landscape quilt
#22
I used a hand dyed fabric for the blue background. I have different layers of sheer fabrics and tulle to make the waves. The mountains are behind a layer of of sheer fabric. I sewed the mountains with different techniques to give the fabric texture. I am happy with how it came out. I copied a picture out of National Geographic Traveler.
I have a greeting card I received several years ago I have been trying to decide how to copy. I plan on tackling it next. Unfortunately I can't find it right now. I was digging in the huge mess that is my sewing room last night looking for it. I think I have an idea how to at least start it now. It is a picture with Mount Fuji in it. It will turn up somewhere. Thanks for the compliments.

I have a horrible crick in my neck, but that is one lovely and intriguing landscape quilt and you used some really interesting fabric choices to help the pictorial effects. Can't wait to see what you come up with in the future.
