cannyquilter, these pics inspired me to also give this a try. I particularly love the winter tree with the 3-D leaves. I just spent the last 3 hours looking at utube tutorials for landscape quilts. Nancy Zieman has some good ones. I learned there are a few different techniques for the curved piecing and very few rules. I also saw 2 craftsy classes but didn't sign up for those. Of all the techniques/presentations I saw, I liked Nancy Z's approach the best and I believe she has at least one book on the subject.

You say you are not a fan of landscape and these are your first! Well, girl, you are great now....these are the most artistic, colorful pieces.......I usually do not ohh and ahh over landscapes, but these are super ohh, all! You have found your niche.......

These are gorgeous and unique. You have definitely found your niche. Where is the gallery and when is the show? My longtime friend is moving back to Victoria from NSW, to Curlewis, to be closer to their son in Brunswick, near Melbourne. She, too, is an artist, in pen and ink, and needs a larger audience. The two of you are amazing. Love your interpretation of the landscapes I remember in AU from our trip there in the fall of 2013, even the little tree kangaroo !

Your quilting adds so much movement and interest to your quilts. Like the lawn mower in the last one. I keep looking at these as see something new each time. For not liking landscape quilts you have done a superb job!
