cannyquilter, these pics inspired me to also give this a try. I particularly love the winter tree with the 3-D leaves. I just spent the last 3 hours looking at utube tutorials for landscape quilts. Nancy Zieman has some good ones. I learned there are a few different techniques for the curved piecing and very few rules. I also saw 2 craftsy classes but didn't sign up for those. Of all the techniques/presentations I saw, I liked Nancy Z's approach the best and I believe she has at least one book on the subject.

I would really like to ask you: are you looking at a picture or scenery when you make these? Or do you just take some fabric and start piecing until a picture forms in your mind? There are very beautiful and I'm just curious where your inspiration comes from. I think I could try to make something like this and NEVER be this successful, so I'm very impressed with your creativity. You are a talented lady.
