Default Last one, I promise: Birds of Paradise

You've all been so kind with your comments about my quilts. Thank you!!! Here's the last one, I promise.
I call it Birds of Paradise and is for my best friend when she retires (soon, yeah!). It's based on a quilt called "Father's Whistle" by a Korean quilter. It was my first and only try at curved seams. Again, hand pieced and quilted. It took 9 months to finish.
    I hope you like it.

Oh Laura, your quilts are absolutely beautiful! Please don't let this be your last one. I could look are yours every day. Color has always been a struggle for me in quilts & your color combinations are just fantastic. They are so pleasing to my eye & easy to gaze upon. Thank you so much for posting your beauties for us.

P.S. I don't think we've seen the one on the ground with the triangles....can we see it...please.

Great work for a first try-you are braver than I :-) This quilt is terrific. Great choice of colors, love the fade from dark to light. Your BF will love and cherish this.

Oooh, Osewme, too kind! The one on the ground is called "Forest in Winter". I'll post it now. I just don't want to be hogging the site. I hope everyone will forgive me if I seem to be doing so.

NO NEED to apologize! That's why we all come here regularly - to see what everyone else is doing. Your work deserves to be shared anyway.
