That is gorgeous! You are so thoughtful to make a quilt for her! She is going to love it. My mom has Alzheimers as well and unfortunately she is in a nursing home. I wish I could have taken care of her but at least she is close by and I can visit any time I want. As you know, it takes a lot to be able to take care of someone with this horrible disease and it sounds like your Dad has an angel taking care of him! Great job on the quilt!

My Dad is a very laid back easy going person. He is on meds and does not seems to be fairly stable right now. His short term memory is gone and to take care of someone who repeats themselves about every 2 minutes does take a halo and wings and my stepmom has both. She is a very sweet and kind person and so patient with my Dad. She never complains and loves my Dad a lot. I was just happy to give her something that I knew she would enjoy. We live 900 miles away so she pretty much has full care. Thank you all for such kind comments.

I love it, and I like the fact you didn't feel the need to bring borders all the way around. I've wanted to do that but never seen anyone else so thought oops better not. Thank you for sharing and allowing me to learn I can do... :)

The colors are so cheerful. It is so loving of you and your sister to design a place or respite for your step mother. It is not easy to care for someone who has so many needs. It is so nice to hear of a family that supports one another.

Your welcome. To fit over the pillows right and not hang down to far, I had to leave one of the borders off the top. I figured it would be fine because it is the part that goes over the pillows. Thanks for the kind comments.
