    Thumbs up Sunny Lanes

Several of you asked questions in the last thread comparing the yellow and red ones.

The finished size as I've done them are 78"x102". They are 5 blocks x 7 blocks and the pattern is free at http://www.quilterscache.com/S/SunnyLanesBlock.html. Each finished block is 12".

This blue one is a bit different in that I had planned on using only the lighter of the blues at first. Then, I saw I wouldn't have enough blue to make it as large as I wanted it, so I broke out the darker blue and cut up what I call "yardage" in order to have enough blue for the contrast. I had other scrappy blues but they didn't coordinate well with the original blue color and I wouldn't have liked it.

I've still got a lot of 2" strips, so I'm probably going to do two more---using purples and then green, but not right now. so if you are going to "wait to see" what they look like, it might be a while!

It was a bit windy outside when the kids were holding it, but that's just the weather we have right now.

Oh yes, the border--someone asked about it. It is as follows--cut sizes, not finished sizes--: strips of white/off white - 3", strip of blue (or red or yellow) - 1.5", a strip of 2" misc. blocks sewn together, and then repeat: blue, 1.5", and then lastly, white/off white 3" strip. I like it, it is simple and uses yet more scrappy squares!
These are all beautiful. Great use of scraps. I being partial to blue esp. like it. I could envision a blue and yellow in
    the french tradition.

I love your quilts. The yellow is probably my favorite, but they are all wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

They are all beautiful. Thank you for showing all three - I'm looking at bags of scraps and trying to decide what color I want to use.
