    Thank you all for your kind comments....the quilt is called "cute as a bug" and comes from a book called Lots of Scraps It's time to quilt" by Jeanne Stauffer & Sandra L Hatch. I made it a little bigger than the original pattern by simply making a couple more rows. I wanted the colors to be more in tune with toddler stage so looked for primary colors which makes it gender neutral. The book instructions are to machine stitch the applique pieces with blanket stitch but I needle turned the applique. It was fun project and I hope the recipient will like it.

    It is just adorable! I don't see how anybody could "not like" it! I think it's perfect for a toddler, and very gender neutral.

    OMG! what a delightful quilt!! love the color & wonderful bugs ...absolutely delightful quilt for a child or ​an adult! i agree ..stid & maybe outline plus details w the bugs.
