    Default Latimer Farms Quilt Finished!!

I have worked on this now for 8 months and I can officially call it finished! The kit came with a red and blue striped fabric for the border which I hated. I found a bolt of this black fabric with tan braid on it at Mardens in Maine for $6.00 a yard so I bought the wole bolt!! It was enough to do both the border cut lof as well as the backing. I did the quilting on my Avante with a multi colored thread and used Anne Brights Dancing Leaves. It finished up at 103 x 103 inches square. I will use it on my Queen size bed - it will be a bedspread - lol!

Fabulous quilt! I've never seen sampler blocks "chained" together like that. I love it!

Betty, this quilt is tremendous in its colors and details. Honestly, I think If I tried a pattern this complex it would take me eight years, not eight months to complete. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us.

What a beauty. Your border fabric is perfect as well as your quilting.
