    Default lavender quilt finished...

Here is the lavender quilt that I just finished putting the binding on. I struggled with this one, trying to decide if it was too "gentle," as it has no pop. I had just finished a really bright quilt, and I was looking for a change. This is a change, but I like it.

Just for fun, I will enclose a picture of my "bright" quilt too, so you can see how I see how much a change I was messing with...

I love both quilts, but the second quilt you made is more pleasing to me because of it's calmness. It's all in the eye of the beholder. Both quilts are very beautiful!

BTW: I love the white sashing on your first quilt. It tends to bring the brightness down a bit. Awesome.

Thanks for the compliments. As it turns out, I prefer the "gentle" quilt, and I am now looking more at pastels when I shop for fabric. I haven't found too many yet that I have to have. Not a problem. There is always my stash!

I love the soft colors; guess I don't always need the 'pop'. It's beautiful
