I have finally finished the Le Jardin quilt, many thanks to our great group on the Wips & Ufo Challenge, here's the link to our thread http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-85621-1.htm , if you've got wips/ufo's/pigs, etc...this is a great encouraging group. this is my 2nd one 'off of my list' now.

Le Jardin required quilting several different designs in each block. I kept the border really simple with a channel pattern.

In the process I created a shortcut or new 'method' for doing a hanging sleeve. I refuse to hand sew one on as I'm not much of a hand sewer, I admire those who do hand quilting but I'm not very good at it. I did sew the sleeve on using monofilament thread in my bobbin & cotton on the top, I centered along the top and machine sewn it on. If you quilt this area heavily, it won't show up like on mine. I still think it looks good and I've named it 'The Header' .
    Blessings,
    MaryAnna

You have done a beautiful job. Your quilt is so lovely and the color combination is so perfect. The quilting lines around the rabbit really show movement and the quilting in the HST really looks wonderful. BEAUTIFUL!

Very pretty quilt. I too don't care for hand sewing. You did a great job.

It was grueling as it was my first applique! Yikes!!! What was I thinking! But I'm glad I stuck with it and finally finished. It's even better in person. You'll love it, I now love qpplique. Thanks for your kind words!
    Blessings,
