    we dont have liliacs in Fl. but we have wisteria and its just as pretty and smells good too

    Yes, we've got a lovely wisteria going up the front of the house, a blue one - and we have a whitish over a pergola with lemon centres. They are lovely and flower twice a year here, now and in late August.
