    That is gorgeous - I think black stippling in the background would be fabulous - really making those kaleidoscope lilacs stand out!

    beautiful!...dark purple or black binding would be perfect....i'm in no position to speak on the quilting aspect.

    Lilacs are the state flower of my state, New Hampshire. They will start to bloom in early May, so they are always ready by Mothers' Day. This is beautiful.

    Your ideas for quilting sound good -- both SID and an 'echo' or 'shadow' stitch about 1/4 inch further out - would make the center really pop out.
