    I went to a quilt show & it was about slavery. This is 2 quilts she made called Lilly of the Valley & Lilly of the Fields. One is a heart quilt she made for a church. The last one was very special it is names, in gold thread,of slaves that was tortured & killed. she did all of the research on them. had 2 nuses (sp) at the top. I couldn't get real close for pics. It was very touching to hear & see the quilts with so much meaning.

    i love quilts that tell a story and what a great way to learn about history.. i would loved to seen this show..

    The second quilt is just beautiful, isn't it? I love that.

    And, wow, I keep staring at the last one. It's hard to comprehend all of those names and everything they went through. Very, very touching.

    Yeah, sharon. History is always better when you have names of real people and can personalize it.
