What a sweet story. And what a wonderful way to handle her 'disappointment'.

What a SUPER GRANDMOTHER you are. The time you have spent with her is priceless like the quilt she has made to welcome her brother. BrendaK

Lovely smile on the big sister. Beautiful quilt. Grammy to the rescue.

Both are really cute. Especially your granddaughter.

Tell Anna that I was disappointed three times. Yep, I have three "little brothers" and no sisters. I remember crying each time. Now that we are all adults they spoil me rotten, buy me gifts and will do anything for me. I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world! I love the quilt and so will he.

Good attention change. She looks to be very happy now, and will love that baby to pieces. Good job.

Very nice quilt and great way to help your DGD. My grandson (who is5) was sad at first too that he's going to have another sister but now he is just so into reading each week how she is growing, etc.

Bless her heart. That was a great suggestion to make a quilt. She'll have a closer feeling toward her little brother. The quilt is wonderful. Is that satin blanket binding? It's a great touch.

Oh, wow! That's a quilt i haven't attempted yet! You handled the disappointment very well; taught her to lovingly accept the gift of a brother and the generosity to make him a gift. You and she will always remember the time you spent making this gorgeous quilt - happy memories all around.
