Little by Little Phase 2 - Reveal
For those following the other thread, this is the big reveal...and the next phase where I try to figure out what the heck to do next as he needs to be quilted still. And, still need to work on the detail in the eye with Inktense pencils.
I'll include a picture of the original mosaic tile art, which I have written permission from the original artist to use.
For now though, here he is so far... Grey Andalusian Horse.

Here's a close-up so you can see how quilting this beast is going to be a bit of a challenge....

And, here is the original artwork.... As I said, I have the written permission of the artist to use the artwork, so I hope it's OK to put it here for comparison.
I hope to enter this into a category called Textile Translations, where you take a piece of art and make it into a quilt. The artist, who is from Poland, was quite excited when I told him I wanted to try to translate his tile work into textile art.

Gape jawed in amazement here. Both your quilt and the original mosaic are just gorgeous. I do hope you will share with the mosaic artist. I am so happy that the original artwork could be posted for comparison.
Edited to add, watch your tension carefully when you quilt it. I have had instances where the adhesive buildup from the fusible on my needle caused my tension to go bad on the back. Looked great on the front than I flipped it over and UGH. A lot of the fusibles that are out there are known for this and it looks to me like with all those itty bitty pieces you may have quite a bit on the piece.
