Just look at his concentration! What a cool kid! Grandma is going to flip! I hope he keeps up with football AND quilting. The girls are going to love him Esqmommy! Buy some hair color now. LOL!

Oh Chele...if you only knew. I'm SOLID gray underneath my (expensive) dye job!!! My daughter got me there at about 18 months...:) It wasn't her good looks, but her ever-so-charming (and intense) personality!!!

Thank you all for saying such nice things about my son (and both my kids in all the past threads). I'm very proud of them, like all mama's are of their beautiful precious children. I especially love that I already know how much his granny will treasures this little quilt - she's one of us, even though she's never quilted a stitch! She has the same sort of sentimentality and sense of history with our family and the little things like these that really mean something. It will barely cover her thighs if she's sitting in a chair, but I know for sure that she will have a smile on her face everytime she sees it. Like I do now!

I feel so lucky to have my children, and our comfortable American life. I don't know if any of you saw the quilt show post that had the "Darfur" quilt, but I'll tell you what...we are lucky people for sure.

You have such a talented son & dau. That smile on his face is worth several million dollars, not to mention the quilt he's working on. I'm sure he's watched you sewing & quilting on many occasions. Great teacher you are. Give him a great big hug & I know grandma will when he presents this to her. Does she live close by, or does he have to mail it?

I love the expression on his face while he's quilting. What gorgeous photos to treasure (these are ones to trot out when he's 21!). I think for kids to multi-skill do sport and learn crafts just makes them so much more well-rounded. Well done Mom!

WTG William! How cute, quilting in his football kit! This is the future ppl, when either sex can do ANYTHING! Bring it on! He sounds a lot like Joey - shame they don't live closer, I bet they'd get on like a house on fire. :D

That is one of the cutest things I've seen. And Granny is going to love it. Hey are you quilting in your dining room? If so way to go me too.

Way to go, William. Your grandmother will love your quilt. You have a good teacher, your mother. She does great work.
