Default This little Piggy went to Hawaii!

Maybe 15 years ago one of my quilting buddies gifted me a stack of 4" squares from Hawaii, all cut from the shirt fabrics. Every retreat I did 10 blocks a day before I would allow myself to work on my retreat project.... I am sooooo tired of it! So with all this snow we've had I finished it off and machine quilted it with the serpentine stitch and finished the hand stitching on the binding this afternoon...... oh yes... one year at retreat we were supposed to make a Hawaiian theme block to donate so I made the piggy hula dancer, sadly only a few of us made blocks so I brought mine home... she finally found her forever home... the quilt is about 48 x 60" and hopefully will give a few cuddles in it's new life.

Cool -- all those vintage shirt fabrics are awesome. Good job using those little squares.

Very cute! Our family made several Hawaiian quilts and some were with the shirt squares. I like how you put them in another fabric. I still have two stacks of squares laying around.
