    Sorry he is so sick -- such a little guy to be going through this and a tough road ahead. I'm sure your quilt will be comfort to him during his treatments -- great for snuggling!
    For a fundraiser, why not suggest you make a quilt to donate that they could raffle at whatever fundraisers they do for him? My cousin's grandson passed away in Oct 2009 at age 13 from bone cancer. The parents have since started an annual 5K Run in his memory -- I donated a quilt for their pre-5K gathering raffle! It really made me feel good to pay-it-back and I'll be doing the same this year in September.
    Best wishes for your young relative and hope he has a speedy recovery.
