    Default Local QOV donation

I've had a FQ bundle of R,W,&B for a couple years and couldn't decide what to do with it. After seeing MSQCs video a couple weeks ago entitled: Disappearing Four-Patch Weave, I started calculating and realized I could make 64 blocks when paired with the partial white layer cake I had on hand. I actually didn't follow the layout but turned every other block 1/4 turn so that my seams would nest and created a new design LOL A neighbor works with a local group to make QOV quilts so I contacted her to see what measurements were required and added a scrap border to expand the quilt enough for a 58 1/2" x 72" finish. I bought the backing last year, just because, and crossed my fingers hoping it was large enough. Lucky for me it was a scant 3/4" larger on the sides and 8" longer. Whew. I used a stencil from Urban Elementz and traced each block with Crayola UltraWash markers to quilt. I delivered it yesterday. Hope you enjoy.
