    Also remember that when you lay them out you will get both colors making your large blocks. Again layout is so much fun. You may need to make a few more blocks to play with. I do like the red together too.

    I agree with Dream. If you had some brown print with some red in it then it would tie in better. You could still use a more solid one but have at least one brown with some red in it! I think it will work out fine!

    litacats had the right idea. Your first arrangement is pretty, but the layout using her suggestion is as beautiful as any log cabin block I've ever seen.

    Those are two colors I never thought of using together, but I love the way the blocks are turning out. Great job. I can't wait to see the quilt.

    They do a lot of red/brown combos on HGTV. It's quite the coming thing, very rich....you just have to be careful and stick to the warm, rich browns and reds, not the garish flat ones. Very pretty.
