Actually the colors are perfect for a couple...red and chocolate brown equals love.....as in Valentine's Day, weddings, etc. The reason I mention weddings is because my niece chose the colors red and chocolate brown for her wedding colors. At first I was skeptical....but it was very pretty.

I like it but think I would use just a shade darker at the center brown. kinda light. But you might try putting the red in the center. Might try different size prints too. But I like it and would love to see the finished product.

I have a thought here- it may work better if you used some fabrics that had both colors in them???
That solid brown just doesn't seem to work. (my op only!)
I agree - love the fussy cut center. How about switching places of the last 2 browns? The patterned one seems darker, and might work better.

These colors really work well together. You picked the red and brown shades perfectly. I love the first block but both are truly great. They are gonna luv it.
