I love the colors together, but am not fond of the setting where the browns are together in the middle. A little too much of a good thing for me, I think.

Love It! How would we ever know what works if we don't experiment? Sometimes the most unlikely combination turns out wonderfully,as yours did.

I have been thinking about this quilt block- I think it would be really pretty if you used more tones of the red and the brown, and maybe even some tan strips. I love the color combination!

As someone said earlier, some red/brown mixes would help perhaps. Might be kind of hard to find tho, I don't know. Hugs and smiles and good luck on your beautiful blocks.

Brown and red used to be a classic combination!
It was mostly a light brown with red trim.
I still remember a beautiful dress a women friend of mine wore with red heels. Classic, Coco Chanel style. I LOVE the combination. Have fun with it.

The most popular colors for weddings last year was brown and pink and brown and aqua. So why not brown and red?

I have never tried that color combination either and I kind of like it. you might try to get more print combinations and sizes in the mix of fabrics. a whole lot of different fabrics in those shades would look great. the more the merrier for a log cabin. good luck with it.
