Very Pretty...I have all good intentions to start a log
cabin quilt in the very near future. I am not quite
to the intermediate..still somewhat of a beginner, any
tips to share would be helpful.

A consistent 1/4" seam is very important! Also, you need to be very organized with your strips...it is easy to sew on a wrong color strip if you're not. (placement is everything!) Square up each block as you finish it. Other than that, it's EASY

The couple best things I took away from Judy Martin's instructions were to be precise in cutting a 1/4 inch AND to buy those drawer organizers to put my strips in. That quilt had something like 25 darks and 17 lights. She pre-cuts her smaller cuts but I did not. I cut them as I needed them from the strips.

I bought several drawer organizers and laid my 1 1/2 inch strips out in color organized by value. Otherwise I dont know how I would have kept 10 strips of 42 colors organized. That way when I needed a very dark green I could just reach into the far left of the organizer, medium dark green was the middle, etc. I could rotely just place them right back.

The only other thing I thought of was clothes hangers with clothes clips.
