On our first cruise DH would fall asleep in a deck chair every afternoon. So I started taking a quilt to work on. He tells everyone he naps because I quilt and I tell everyone I quilt because he naps.
On one cruise I was up in the Crows Nest and a passenger asked if I could sew a button on a skirt for his wife. I did. Another, jokingly, asked if I could let out his tuxedo pants. LOL!Told him I could have but I didn't have the right color thread.
;) You may find yourself famous! after this

No mamma, you misunderstood her, I am sure she said she made it for me. lol
That is just beautiful. I love Log Cabin and Star quilts. I don't think I could ever do something like that by hand sewing, I had to sew anything by hand. Great way to pass the time on a cruise, especially if you are on it for such a long time. I would be tempted to take a Featherweight along with me to sew.

Log cabins are such a nice quilt and love that you added the flowers. A very nice touch and seems like an original.
