I'm not sure I'm going to believe this, but I have not even finished this quilt. I e-mailed a copy of the photo to my youngest sister. She absolutely raved about the quilt, and wants one like it. The big difference is her bed is a king size, so it's going to be a monster of a quilt. I will have to hand-quilt it, but that's okay. It will take me a long time to do it, but I would do anything that isn't illegal or immoral for my sister. She's always been there for me in any time of need (not financial). For instance, when my DH had a stroke, my two sisters drove from Arkansas/ Oklahoma, to North Central Florida. They stayed several days, and when my husband appeared to be improving, had to go home to take care of their own families. They got home on Friday or Saturday, and my husband died on Monday. They turned right around and drove back here again to be here for me. Both my sisters are wonderful people, so, YES, I'll make her a quilt. She did say she'd pay for the materials, so that's what's going to happen. I'll gladly make her a quilt, and as most quilts are, it will be made with love. Ironic, isn't it? Jeanette

Your quilt looks very warm and vibrant. Nice way to show appreciation for his service. Please let him know of my appreciation too. I will be praying for him and for you that its completion will go smoothly. Prayers for you too, sorry for the loss of your husband.
