Very nice. The browns are very soothing.
I am working on my first Log Cabin ever. I named it "Lincoln's Legacy". I decided that it should be scrappy so that I can use up some of my small pieces. It has a dark rusty red center square with dark gold stars in it and the "logs" are all blue. It will be 5x6 blocks with a moderate border when done. The handstitching will be outlines of (what else) Log Cabins. I plan to give it to my loving husband Jim for Christmas.

quiltncrazy, motomon and Boston1954 Thank you very much.
Boston-it sounds like your quilt will be beautiful. I love the name you chose and the idea of quilting log cabins. Hope you post it when you finish.

kd124, I sure will. I made one last year with dog themed fabric and quilted it in shapes of bones, paw prints, dog houses, and fire hydrants. It came out really cute. I am making one for my cat with kitties and fish tanks, and fish fabric. I am quilting that one in shapes of fish.
