I personally like the colors and the way you have blended them together. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

I am in awe watching this quilt come together. I showed my mom today the pics as you have progressed with this. She is in love now too!

I do believe I will make one now. I think I can actually do it. Just gorgeous!

You are right too that this couple has a great eye for color. Amazing.

The only thing I do not know is how much of each fabric do I need or is there a site that I can go to or should I buy a book? Any help on that is most appreciated.

Thank you again for taking the time to post this! You have a couple of quilty fans here in cold and windy South Dakota.

I have a book called the joy of quilting that has all the instruction. but let me look for you, maybe I can find one on line. You can make this quilt with scraps even.

scroll down a bit on this page and you will see a good example of how it goes..

I love the butterflies in the quilt. I have never made a Lone Star, but they are beautiful.

I just finished the quilt top about 30 minutes ago. It ended up being 108x108. I will post a pic once it is quilted and bound/

OK, all done now. I finished binding yesterday. This quilt was not hard, just a lot of work.
