OH MY! You are so talented, gcathie. I can't finish projects I don't absolutely love and color is so important to us. What a fantastic job you did! I'm sure you will want a little time off from that pattern----it looks incredibly difficult and is pieced so perfectly-----but how nice it will be when you have one that you do adore the colors of and what a great story behind it.

Oh, and totally off subject, thanks again for the pincushion instructions. I haven't gotten around to doing it yet because I've done a couple others in a simpler design and am giving them for B-day/Christmas gifts to my family members who sew....but I will get to it....I want one for me! :D

nice work, I agree with you on the colors, but still what an amazing job. And to each his own, I'm certain your friend will love it. Gifts from friends are always cherished.

Gcathie, I laughed when I read that comment......you just have to love the colours or you canīt get over it. You did well to finish it, if I donīt like the colours I give up.

Your friend will love it cause you made it for her.

Cathie....you have done a great job on the lonestar, I have just been studying how to do these by strip piecing and debating whether it's worth buying the special template or whether just to use a normal ruler, can you advise me??

I like the colours, but I particularly like bright colours at the moment anyway!! :D
