Default Longarm quilting quilt for shop owner

I quilted this quilt for a shop owner who happens to be my ex-husbands wife! ha ha! I sure didn't want to mess up the quilt! It is a Judy Neimeyer pattern. I used free motion quilting for the majority of the quilt and some ruler work. I also used my Pro Stitcher (computerized quilting) to do a few things in the star. I used silver metallic thread in the center of the star and for the echoed stars. This quilt took me a couple of weeks after work and on the weekends to finish. I do not quilt for hire yet. I still have a full time job. Maybe I will when I retire. I do quilt for others at work though.
    Enjoy the pictures!

The black is really hard to take pictures of. The border of the quilt is black. It looks scalloped in the pictures. There are feathers all along the border. By the way, if you are new to free motion quilting and doing feathers, practice on paper as much as possible! This was the only way I improved! You have to draw them in a bunch of different ways and shapes! I look at my note books and it is hard to believe how awful they were in the beginning.

You have a real gift when it comes to quilting. Great job -- I expect to see some of your quilts in national shows!

That is such an awesome compliment! I feel I have a long way to go before I get there. I might try to entering something in the fair next year. It is hard when you have a full time job to get in some quilting time.
