Don't have advice, but was just admiring your quilts and wanted to tell you how pretty they are! I love scrappy quilts! The broken dishes quilt is the pattern you used on it.

I would do an overall pattern on all three. The top one especially needs something with lots of curves. Your fabrics are busy so a custom pattern won't really show. Good luck and show us when you finish!

Awesome beatiful quilts! Right up my alley with all the colors and scraps.

    Ideas-
The one for your sister tie with crochet thread pink.

the one with the circles go sraight through the center of each wedge all the way across the quilt. This will make it look like the wedges are made of two parts.

The broken dish pretty much the same go through the center of each triangle all the way across.

The Bear paw is so beautiful. I would porbably keep it simple because the piecing work is stunning. cross through each larger block through the center blue block and then the small center brown block of the inner sashing and over to the next center blue block of the pieced sashing.

With all of the quilts what comes to my mind is minumal quilting as the piecing is just stunning.

Excluding the tying all could be done with a walking foot and be done one quilt an evening.

If these were mine, I would do an all over design on the pinwheels and broken dishes. On the circles, I would do a small all over meander or stipple around the circles and a spiral or flower in the middle. I think I would have the bear paw custom quilted! It's so awesomely gorgeous!

I'm hand quilting a broken dishes quilt now, and i'm doing a 1/4" outline of each triangle. I like it so far.

Also - i agree with the person who drew a quilting design on your pinwheels quilt - i thought it was the perfect solution.
