Serial # is 434598...she has the early version of tensioner...but has the release bar on the bobbin case...guessing she was born sometime about 1880...would that be right?

I really have not the faintest idea about dating the W&W's. My buddy Miller would know for sure, he is the resident expert on the W&W 8's on the NB and I am thinking he has 3 or 4 and one being an Antebellum issue. I will email him and find out for you.

That is his all time favorite machine in the whole world!!

Charlee I sent Miller an email and I should hear back from him soon. I lifted the photos of it to help him date it just in case the serial was a between year.

I am going to have to pull a road trip I can see that!!

I don't mind at all Dahna...too much for our financial condition right at the moment, but he'd been saving for his fishing trip, so he parted with $100.00 for her...

I think I'll name her "Ellen" after my g-g-grandmother! :)
